Farmer Charged with assault

May 4, 2014

A Claremont man, Joseph Chandler Davali, was arrested and charged with the rape of a 12-year-old Claremont girl. Davali is a date farmer in the city of Claremont and has a long history of criminal behavior which spans over almost two decades in four counties throughout the state of California. The most recent charges on Mr. Davali include making criminal threats, grand theft, and sexual intercourse with a minor. Davali faces jail time for raping a young girl and the girl was supposedly home alone when the crime occurred according to authorities involved in the investigation. With all of his prior convictions and time spent in and out of jail, the judge will most likely sentence Davali to the greatest extent possible with no possibility of bail. Police are asking the public for any other information regarding this case and any possible other victims even though the police believe that there are no other rape victims. So if you have any information, please contact the Claremont Police Department immediately.
