Claremont Man Saves Liquor Store Owner’s Life

On August 25 the owner of a local liquor store in the city of Claremont nearly lost his life when a man came in the store with a gun. A hooded man walked in the store with a pistol in his hand and demanded that the owner give him all of the cash in the register. However, the owner refused pleading with the man that he needs all of that money. So the suspect went on the other side of the counter and began viciously beating the owner for not listening to him. A bystander in the store watched what happened from one of the aisles and grabbed a heavy object from the back, snuck up behind the robber, and hit him in the back of the head knocking him unconscious. The store owner then called the police and thanked the man for potentially saving his life and his business. When the police arrived at the scene, they detained the robber and hauled him off to jail.
